I get so burnt out with the art world and the photo industry. Everyone always wants to know "what's it about?" "What's the narrative?" "how can you make more people understand it?" Honestly this whole idea is to not give a fuck about any of that. Fuck Sympathy is a mix of a publication/brand/idea/nonsense. It was born out of my frustration with the exclusivity of the art world. It was born out of a boredom of perfection. Fuck Sympathy isn't supposed to make sense, there is no narrative to follow per say. In fact, I hope it confuses people to some degree. If you get it, awesome. And if you don't that's just as great. I beleive you don't need to spend thousands of dollars to print a book to get your point across or to be taken seriosuly. You can whip something up with cheap computer paper, ink. tape, staples, and markers. I don't care what you make or how much it cost, JUST MAKE ME FEEL SOMETHING. God, I get so bored with the perfection of it all, the neatness, the politeness, the bullshit. No need to walk on eggshells here, just be yourself. Express yourself. Get angry! Get mad! Burn the whole mother fucker down! That's what this is about. I do plenty of "making sense" in all my other work. This is a rlease from all of that. Think of therapy, think of meditation, think wabi sabi, think dada, think typos (the more the merrierrr), think spontaneity, think freedom, think blah blah blah, you get it....think to yourself....who really cares??????? <ENJOY>
